Billing & Renewals

There's no contract. Cancel anytime: monthly plans stop at the end of the paid monthly billing period, and yearly plans stop renewing at the end of the paid year. There's no upfront website build fee on any plan.

Website Ownership

Tech Turtle owns the website design and implementation unless you separately purchase ownership. When your paid billing period ends after cancellation, hosting and website service end and the website goes offline. A refunded cancellation ends service when the refund is processed. Your logos, photos, written materials and other content you supply always stay yours.

Want to own the website outright? An optional one-time $1,995 buyout transfers the site to you so you can host it anywhere.

Domain & Hosting

Hosting, SSL, and the first year of standard domain registration are included. Standard domain renewal stays included while your subscription is active and in good standing.

If you cancel, hosting and website service end and the website goes offline. Domain transfer and hosting options after a buyout are covered in the Ownership Terms.

Every plan includes one prelaunch revision. After launch, Starter changes are $10 each. Business and Business Pro include one small change every month, on monthly or yearly billing, handled on the 15th of each month. Unused changes do not roll over. Adding up to 15 photos in a month counts as that one change.

Iowa Website Questions

Do I need a website if most customers hear about me through referrals?

Not every business does, but a referral usually comes with only a name. Many people look that name up before calling, to check it's the right business, that you do their job and that you serve their town. A website gives them those answers in one place. If you're fully booked from referrals and happy with that, a simple Starter site may be all you need.

Can you build from my existing logo, Facebook page, and job photos?

Yes. Send your logo, a link to your Facebook page and the photos you'd like to use, and we build from those. We use only photos you own or have permission to use, and reviews appear only as your customers wrote them.

Can my website show that I serve several nearby communities?

Yes. We list the communities you confirm you serve, as text visitors and search engines can read. On Starter ($14.99/month) that's a section of your one page. On Business ($29/month) it can have its own service-area page. We only list places you actually cover.

Can I update seasonal services without redesigning the whole site?

Yes. Adding or removing a seasonal service is a small change, not a redesign. Business and Business Pro include one small change a month (Free updates on the 15th of every month. Need it sooner? $10 instant change.) On Starter, each change after launch is $10. Larger restructuring is quoted before any work starts.

Is Starter enough for a business with a few closely related services?

Often, yes. Starter is one well-organized page, and a few related services fit comfortably as sections with photos. Business is the better fit if each service needs its own page with photos and details, or if you want a separate page for your service area. You can start on Starter and upgrade later.

Can customers contact me without creating an account?

Yes. Every plan includes a contact form that needs no account or login. Customers fill it in and you receive the inquiry by email. You also choose which phone number and email, if any, appear on the site.

The website build is free with a paid subscription: Starter $14.99/month (1 page), Business $29/month (up to 5 pages) or Business Pro $50/month (adds CRM and appointment requests). Yearly billing saves 10%, and the full yearly charge is shown at checkout.
