Website Ownership & Licensing Terms

For Starter, Business, and Business Pro, Tech Turtle owns the website design and implementation. Your subscription licenses the hosted website for use while your paid service remains active. Subscription payments do not automatically transfer ownership. There is no upfront website build fee.

Your logos, photos, written materials, and other content you supply remain yours. A domain you already own remains yours. You are responsible for having the rights to the materials you provide.

You may separately purchase ownership of your standard subscription website for a one-time $1,995. The buyout is optional and is not charged automatically when you cancel. Contact Office@JustTechTurtleIt.com to arrange payment and transfer of the site so you can host it elsewhere. Third-party licenses and services retain their own terms; Tech Turtle retains its reusable tools and frameworks.

Standard domain registration and renewal remain included while subscribed and in good standing. Domains Tech Turtle registers are managed by Tech Turtle during the subscription. Domain handoff is included in a full website buyout, subject to registrar restrictions.

A standalone domain transfer is available after the applicable holding period for a $50 administration fee plus actual domain registration and renewal costs, quoted before you agree. Registrar restrictions can delay a transfer. This transfer fee is separate from the standard renewal included during an active subscription.

Cancel anytime through the client portal where available or by emailing Office@JustTechTurtleIt.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Monthly service continues through the paid month; yearly service continues through the prepaid year. At the end of the paid period, the website goes offline and included dashboard/CRM service ends. A refunded cancellation ends service when the refund is processed.

Cancellation alone does not transfer the website design, implementation, or source files. You retain your original business materials. Any separately arranged ownership transfer follows the buyout terms.

A separately signed custom-project agreement may specify a different ownership model for that project. Unless otherwise agreed, Tech Turtle may show completed work and reference your business in its portfolio and marketing.
