What is the Website Assistance Credit?

No. It is a credit applied toward an approved Tech Turtle website project. It has no cash value and cannot be paid out.

Do I have to purchase a website to use the Website Assistance Credit?

Yes. Unlike the original no-purchase Growth Grant, the Website Assistance Credit applies toward the purchase of a qualifying Tech Turtle website project.

How much would I still pay?

Accepted Answer

Tech Turtle website packages currently begin around $2,500. With the maximum $2,000 approved credit, the remaining upfront website investment could be as little as approximately $500 — final scope and price depend on the package you choose.

Can I use the credit for Google Ads or marketing?

No. The Website Assistance Credit is for qualifying website projects only. It cannot be applied to advertising spend, ad management, marketing retainers, or standalone SEO.

I already applied for the original program. Do I need to apply again?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. Applications that were not part of the original fully allocated grant awards may still be reviewed for the Website Assistance Credit where appropriate. If we need more information, we'll contact you directly — there's no need to submit duplicate information.

Am I guaranteed the full $2,000?

No. Approval and the credit amount depend on project fit, business need, availability, and the type of website required. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

Is the original $50,000 Growth Grant still available?

No. The original 2026 Small Business Growth Grant allocation has been fully committed, and the follow-up Website Assistance Credit has also ended.

When can I apply for the next round?

The next program round opens in September 2027. We can't accept early applications — anything submitted before then won't be reviewed. Award values vary by round, and applying never guarantees selection.

Was the original grant a $50,000 cash grant?

No. The $50,000 represented the total retail value of in-kind Tech Turtle and LeadRilo services awarded across all nine recipient businesses in 2026. It was not cash, a check, or government funding.

Is there a fee to apply?

No. There is no application fee and no purchase is necessary to apply or to receive an award. Recipients receive their awarded services without being required to buy anything else.

Is this a random drawing or sweepstakes?

No. Applications are reviewed competitively using transparent selection criteria by a Tech Turtle review committee. It is not a raffle, sweepstakes, or random drawing.

Who is eligible to apply?

Legitimate small businesses that primarily serve customers in Wisconsin, have an active Wisconsin presence, can demonstrate a genuine business need, and are able to participate in implementation if selected.

Is Tech Turtle affiliated with the government, SBA, or WEDC?

No. The Tech Turtle Small Business Growth Grant Program is privately funded and administered by Tech Turtle. It is not a government program and is not affiliated with the SBA, WEDC, or any government agency.

What if I already have a website or use another platform?

Accepted Answer

That's fine. The program is about helping businesses grow from wherever they are today. Final award scope depends on each selected business's specific needs.

When will recipients be announced?

Applications are reviewed in November 2026, with recipients announced in December 2026. Implementation begins after recipient onboarding.

Do I have to become a paying Tech Turtle client to receive an award?

Accepted Answer

No. Awarded services are provided without requiring any purchase. Additional services may be offered independently later, but are never a condition of receiving the awarded services.
