Is a domain included?
Yes. Eligible subscription plans include standard domain registration, and renewals stay included while your subscription is active and in good standing.
Who registers and manages the domain?
Tech Turtle registers and manages the domain for eligible subscription customers, so renewals and technical setup are handled for you.
Can I choose my own domain name?
Yes, as long as it's available and is a standard domain. Tell us your preferred name during onboarding and we'll check availability.
I already own a domain. Can I use it?
Yes. We can connect a domain you already own to your new Tech Turtle website. You'd keep paying your current registrar for it, or we can discuss moving it.
Can I transfer my domain to another company?
Yes, once it's eligible. A standalone domain transfer has a minimum 30-day Tech Turtle holding period (plus any longer registrar rules), a $50 transfer administration fee, and reimbursement of the actual domain registration and renewal charges Tech Turtle paid. We confirm the exact total from your domain's real billing history before you're charged.
How much does a domain transfer cost?
The administration fee is $50, plus reimbursement of the actual registration and renewal charges Tech Turtle paid for your domain. Those vary by domain, so we look up your real history before quoting a total.
Why can't I transfer my domain right away?
Newly registered or recently transferred domains have a minimum 30-day Tech Turtle holding period, and registries sometimes impose longer locks. We can't promise a transfer before the domain is eligible.
Do you include email addresses on my domain?
Branded email inboxes (like you@yourbusiness.com) aren't part of the standard plans. We can connect your domain to an email provider you choose, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, which you'd pay for directly.
Can my website be on a subdomain?
Yes, if that's what you need. Most businesses use their main domain, but we can set up a subdomain on request.
Do I have to renew my domain each year?
No. While your subscription is active, Tech Turtle handles standard domain renewals for you at no extra cost.
