Switching From Another Website
How switching works, and what carries over.
Can I switch from my current website company?
Yes. We build your new site on one of our plans, then point your domain to it when it's ready, so there's little or no downtime.
Can you move my Wix or Squarespace site?
We don't copy the old platform's files. We rebuild your website on our platform using your existing content, photos, and branding, which usually gives you a faster, cleaner site.
Can you move my WordPress site?
We rebuild your content on our modern platform instead of moving WordPress itself. WordPress plugins and themes won't carry over, but your content, pages, and photos can.
Will I lose my content if I switch?
No. Send us your current content or your website address and we'll bring over the text and photos you want to keep.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I switch?
We take steps to protect them, like keeping important pages and adding redirects where needed. Some ranking fluctuation after any website change is normal, and we can't guarantee rankings.
I'm in a contract with another company. Can you help?
We can build your new site anytime, but check your current contract for cancellation terms and domain ownership before switching. We can't cancel another company's contract for you.
My old web company controls my domain. What do I do?
Ask them to transfer the domain or give you access to it. If they won't, check your contract. We can guide you through what to request.
